Terms of Service
These Terms of Service (“Terms”) govern your use of the MultiPane desktop application and the website at multipane.app (together, the “Service”). By downloading, installing, or using MultiPane, you agree to these Terms.
1. The Service
MultiPane is a desktop application that lets you run multiple browser panes in one window, each with an isolated session. Features differ between the Free plan and paid Pro plan as described on our pricing page.
2. Accounts & license keys
Pro features are unlocked with a license key issued after a successful purchase. You are responsible for keeping your license key confidential. We may deactivate keys that are shared publicly, resold without authorization, or obtained fraudulently.
3. Purchases & billing (Paddle)
Paid subscriptions and one-time purchases are processed by Paddle.com Market Limited (or its affiliates) as Merchant of Record (“Paddle”). When you buy Pro:
- Your contract for payment is with Paddle;
- Paddle handles applicable taxes where required;
- Invoices and payment method updates are managed through Paddle’s checkout and customer portal.
By purchasing, you also agree to Paddle’s buyer terms as presented at checkout.
4. Acceptable use
You agree not to use MultiPane to violate laws, infringe others’ rights, distribute malware, abuse third-party services, or attempt to circumvent license or security controls. You are solely responsible for how you use websites loaded inside MultiPane panes and for complying with those sites’ terms.
5. Intellectual property
MultiPane, its name, branding, and software are owned by or its licensors. These Terms do not transfer ownership. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to use the software on devices you control, subject to your plan.
6. Privacy
Our collection and use of personal data is described in the Privacy Policy.
7. Refunds
Refund requests are governed by our Refund Policy and Paddle’s applicable policies.
8. Disclaimer of warranties
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED “AS IS” AND “AS AVAILABLE” WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We do not warrant that MultiPane will be uninterrupted, error-free, or compatible with every website.
9. Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, AND ITS SUPPLIERS WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, OR GOODWILL. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNTS YOU PAID FOR MULTIPANE PRO IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM.
10. Termination
You may stop using MultiPane at any time. We may suspend or terminate access to Pro features for breach of these Terms or invalid licensing. Provisions that by nature should survive (including IP, disclaimers, and liability limits) will survive termination.
11. Changes
We may update these Terms by posting a revised version on this page and updating the effective date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
